Congratulations to our 2025 scholarship recipients!
Our club awarded $18,000 in scholarships to six graduating seniors at Racine high schools to assist with post-secondary education expenses. The scholarships of $3,000 each were announced on May 21, 2025.
Let’s meet the recipients:
Amaya Rogers of Park High School received the Ted Jacobson Scholarship. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and major in Nursing.
Cameron Betker of Park High School received a scholarship from the club. He plans to attend Knox College and major in Business/Finance.
Siroun Buchaklian of Horlick High School (right) received a scholarship from the club. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and major in Business Management and Economics.
Allyce Fellion of Case High School received a scholarship from the club. She plans to attend European University of Cyprus and major in Pharmacology.
Itzel Flores of Walden III High School received a scholarship from the club. She plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and major in Electrical Engineering.
Rylee McGee of St. Catherine’s High School received a scholarship from the club. She plans to attend Spelman College and major in Psychology. (No photo available.)

Funding for the 2025 Kiwanis Club of West Racine Scholarship Program was provided by the Ted and Elizabeth Jacobson Foundation; by donations in memory of Nick Barnicke, Frank Osimitz, Rollie Krahn, Var Krikorian, Jim and Myra DeCamp, Mary Jane Papenfuss and John Waltenberger. Additional funds were raised by club members.
Application requirements and details about the next scholarship program will be announced in early 2026 on this page and via local media outlets. For future reference, the Scholarship Committee is chaired by Michael Monroe. email: [email protected]
